About us

Built by the community, for the community

Founded 2018

Our story

From a neighborhood promise to a citywide movement

Mercy Welfare Organization began with a simple belief — that no family in our neighborhood should be left behind. What started as a small group of volunteers in Karachi has grown into a citywide effort.

"We never set out to build an organization. We set out to help one family. Then another."

— Founder's note

Today we span education, healthcare, monthly support, and Eid qurbani — working transparently, locally, and with the people we serve at the center of every decision.

What we believe

Every family deserves dignity, opportunity, and a neighbor who shows up. We exist to make sure they have all three.

Our mission

To restore dignity and opportunity for underserved families through sustained, community-led support across education, livelihood, and healthcare.

Our vision

A Karachi where every family has access to learning, livelihood, and healthcare — supported by neighbors who care.
